The Eurovision winner of 2012, Loreen, will participate in the Swedish preliminary round Melodifestivalen next year.
She is in the fourth and final heat. A first return in 2017 did not go as planned. Then she did not pass the second chance round with her song Statements. The list of participants also includes many well-known names who have previously participated in Melodifestivalen.
Melodifestivalen will go on tour again next season, starting on Saturday 4 February in Gothenburg. In the following weeks, Linköping, Lidköping and Malmö will be visited for the remaining preliminary rounds. The second chance round is in Örnsköldsvik with the final on March 11 as was customary before covid in the Friends Arena in Stockholm. The top two in each qualifying round advance to the final. The numbers three and four must qualify for the final via the repechage.
