Will Malta come up with another song for Emma Muscat?

In recent days, there have been rumors that Emma Muscat will perform in Turin with a song other than ‘Out Of Sight’, with which the singer won the Maltese national final last month. The rumors are reinforced by the singer herself who reports on her Instagram that her new single ‘I Am What I Am’ will be released on Monday, March 14. That is also the day that all delegations must have submitted the entry to the EBU. An additional phenomenon is that the winning song of the Malta Song Contest cannot yet be found on the YouTube channel of Eurovision.tv.

It is not the first time that Malta eventually sends a different song to the Eurovision Song Contest than the winner of the national final. For example, Ira Losco won in 2016 with ‘Chameleon’, but the song ‘Walk On Water’ was chosen internally.
