SVT announces Melodifestivalen candidates

The Swedish broadcaster has announced the candidates for Melodifestivalen 2022. Among the names are a number of veterans of Melodifestivalen and three participants who have already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest, such as John Lundvik (2019), Robin Bengtsson (2017) and Anna Bergendahl (2010). The series of preliminary rounds starts on Saturday 5 February and will conclude on Saturday 12 March with the final. It starts in Malmö. This is followed by preliminary rounds in Göteborg, Linköping and Lidköping. The repechage will take place in Örnsköldsvik and the final in Stockholm. Oscar Zia, himself a multiple participant, and last year one of the presenters can talk to each other in 2022.
