Austria sends Teya & Salena to Eurovision Song Contest
Austrian broadcaster ORF has announced that Teya & Salena will represent Austria at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.
It is the first time that Austria has sent a female duo to the Eurovision song contest. 22-year-old Viennese Teya and 24-year-old Salena from Styria met each other two years ago, when they took part in the ORF casting show Starmania 21.
The musicians have been friends since the show and share the same childhood dream of being on stage in the world’s biggest music competition. This dream is now a reality and, without giving too much away, TEYA & SALENA are competing for Austria with a self-written uptempo pop song. The song will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 8, International Women’s Day.
