25-year-old Seppe Herreman has won Eurosong 2025 under his stage name Red Sebastian. In Basel, we will see Belgium in the first semi-final on 13 May, the day on which the singer celebrates his 26th birthday. The singer was the favourite of both the professional jury and the viewers at home.
In 2011, Herreman started taking singing lessons at the local music school Casa da Musica in his hometown of Ostend. Two years later, at the age of 14, he took part in the second season of the television programme Belgium’s Got Talent on VTM. With the song Ain’t No Other Man by American singer Christina Aguilera, the young singing talent made it to the final. After his secondary education, Herreman started studying singing at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent in 2017. There he was taught by Gustaph, among others. In 2019, the singer continued under the stage name Red Sebastian. The singer released a first album in 2021, of which Embrace Me was the first single. More singles followed, but major successes failed to materialize. In 2024, Red Sebastian took part in the VTM program Sing Again, where he reached the final.
