The 20 songs competing in this year’s Festival da Canção have officially been revealed.
The winner, to be decided in March, will go on to represent Portugal at Eurovision 2025. Earlier today, Portuguese broadcaster RTP held a press conference to showcase the artists and entries for Festival da Canção 2025.
The event was hosted by Vasco Palmeirim at Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon, where both the songs and performers were introduced to the public.
While a few behind-the-scenes details were shared, the focus remained on the lineup of artists and their entries. RTP had previously announced the 20 composers behind this year’s songs. Of these, 14 were invited by the broadcaster, while six came through an open submission process. Each composer had the freedom to perform their own song or select another artist to represent their work in the competition.
