Presenter Petra Mede and actress Malin Akerman will host the Eurovision Song Contest in May in the Swedish city of Malmö.
The event’s organizers announced the hosting duo on Monday. The 53-year-old Mede, one of Sweden’s most well-known presenters, previously hosted the Song Contest in 2013 and 2016. Akerman, 45, born in Stockholm and raised in Canada, is recognized for her roles in films like The Heartbreak Kid and Rock of Ages.
While Mede and Akerman haven’t collaborated before, they express excitement about co-hosting the Song Contest. The event takes place from Tuesday, May 7, to Sunday, May 11, in Malmö. Joost Klein will represent the Netherlands, performing on May 9 in the second semi-final.
