The Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG has informed the website ESCToday.com that Montenegro will again participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 in Turin.
Compared to this year’s edition, this is the first change in the field of participants. However, it remains to be seen from the EBU before we know the exact number of participants for Turin. The provisional list of participants will be announced very soon.
Montenegro has been independent since 2006 and debuted at the songcontest in 2007. It was not very successful in the first few years, which meant that a new participation was canceled in 2010 and 2011. After that, however, the final was only reached twice, namely a 19th place in 2014 and a 13th place in 2015. In 2017 singer Slavko made an impression with his long ponytail, but he also got stuck in the semifinals.
