Lithuania is actively conducting its selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 through the national program, Eurovizija.LT.
This year’s competition comprises five semi-finals, each featuring nine participants, culminating in a grand final scheduled for February 15, 2025. In total, 45 artists are competing for the honor to represent Lithuania in Basel, Switzerland.
The semi-finals commenced on January 11 and are being held weekly. In each semi-final, the top two acts, determined by a combination of jury and public votes, advance to the final. This format ensures a diverse representation of musical styles and talents, reflecting Lithuania’s vibrant music scene.
The grand final will take place at the Žalgiris Arena in Kaunas. Following the initial performances, a superfinal will feature the top three acts, who will perform once more. In this decisive round, the Lithuanian audience holds the power, as the winner will be selected exclusively through public televoting.
Notably, among the contestants is Ieva Zasimauskaitė, who previously represented Lithuania in 2018 with the song “When We’re Old.” Her return adds a layer of excitement and anticipation to this year’s selection process.
Through this comprehensive selection procedure, Lithuania aims to choose a strong candidate capable of achieving success on the international Eurovision stage. The blend of jury assessments and public votes ensures a balanced and representative choice, taking into account both professional expertise and audience appeal.
