The national broadcaster in Iceland, RÚV, has announced the 10 songs that will participate in Söngvakeppnin 2025.

Each semi-final will feature five songs. In the semi-finals, all participants must perform in Icelandic. Unlike previous years, three acts from each semi-final will qualify for the final. No wildcard will be granted. In the final, participants must perform in the language they intend to use at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The semi-finals will take place on February 8 and 15, with the final scheduled for February 22. The shows will be hosted by Benedikt Valsson, Guðrún Dís Emilsdóttir, and Fannar Sveinsson.
